Library Project

This project is about the relationship between the architecture of the Library and design to communicate a quiet zone. Starting this project on my own, I came up with the concept of Nature as a source and centre for calmness and tranquility. My project was selected among a few others in my class and we were then put into groups. My group partner was Raed Skaik and we worked together to finalize the visual aspect of the design.

The 2 meter posters were to be held in a concave area within the quiet zone of the library with comfortable chairs so one can study and work peacefully. (see map and model design on the left).

The organic shapes in the background are abstracted arabic letters that mean "tranquility" (hudoo2).
